Zhejiang Hengda New Materials Co., Ltd. was established in 2002 (formerly Zhejiang Hengda Paper Industry Co., Ltd.) and is located in the Industrial Park of Longyou County, Zhejiang Province. It is a national high-tech enterprise specializing in the production and R&D of advanced, specialty paper-based packaging materials. In August 2023, Hengda New Materials was listed on the ChiNext Board of the Shenzhen Stock Exchange under stock code 301469.

The company and its subsidiaries operate nine intelligent specialty paper production lines, covering medical packaging, food packaging, industrial base paper, and cigarette‑related base paper, among others. These lines support four major product series, 15 categories, and more than 50 specific grades. Leveraging the technological expertise accumulated in both international and domestic premium markets, the company consistently delivers high‑quality products and end‑to‑end solutions to sectors such as healthcare and food safety.

The company operates a provincial-level enterprise R&D center, a provincial institute for new special paper‑based materials, and an academician expert workstation. It has obtained 37 invention patents and two Science and Technology Progress Awards from the National Light Industry Department, undertaken one national Torch Program project, and successfully developed over 20 provincial‑level industrial new products, including highly hydrophobic, fluorine‑free, oil‑resistant paper; glue‑free lid paper; high‑stiffness straw paper; and paper tableware such as paper knives and forks. Additionally, the company serves as a principal drafting unit for Zhejiang Manufacturing’s “Pinzi” brand standards, covering medical dialysis base paper and white oil‑proof paper for food packaging. Its subsidiary, Hengchuan New Materials, a paper‑making enterprise, has also participated in the development of the group standard for single‑use paper straws intended for food contact.

The company has fully implemented the ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 management systems, as well as the 6S workplace management approach. Its products have obtained QS production licensing, FSC certification, and BRC certification. The company has also been recognized with numerous honors, including Provincial Green Enterprise, Provincial Circular Economy Demonstration Enterprise, Provincial Water-Saving Enterprise, Provincial Advanced Enterprise for Fostering Harmonious Labor Relations, and Provincial Specialized, Sophisticated, Distinctive, and Innovative SME.

Digital workshop

The DCS control system is used to measure, monitor and control the execution of papermaking process and realize remote control. Process management, alarm management, operation records and other functions of the system are seamlessly integrated into the system to realize intelligent manufacturing.

The QCS control system is Introduced from Honeywell, provides real time online monitor, feedback and control of paper’s parameters：moisture，reel speed，basic weight and etc.

The WIS system implements online full inspection of products, which effectively improves the ability to control the product quality.

Focusing on green and intelligent manufacturing, not only introducing advanced foreign equipments, but also combining our product positioning to improve and optimize the design of the assembly line, forming equipment advantages that are unique to Hengda.

DCS Control System, was introduced from Honeywell in the United States. It is used to measure, monitor, and remote control the process of the paper making. lt also integrates the process management, alarm management, and operation records into one system to achieve intelligent manufacturing; Hengda has been recognized as representative enterprise with digital workshops in Zhejiang Province.
